Mount Pleasant Cottage
Mousehole,
Cornwall

Garden description and photographs

The garden is to the rear of the house, extending to one side. It is accessed either by a door from Bedroom 4 or via a gate from Mount Pleasant Street. There are two patio areas on different levels joined by a path and steps. The lower level patio leads to a lawn, with fruit trees, bordered mainly by hydrangea plants, with bamboo at the lower level. Further steps lead upwards to a larger area of lawn with a specimen magnolia tree and some planted borders, featuring some exotic plants. A mature ash tree grows at the junction of the two levels at the far end of the garden.

Overall, the garden is well-established and large for this village location, having in the past been granted outline planning permission for a bungalow. It offers excellent views over Mounts Bay, similar to those available from the house.
